· Capture

“After more than 6000 dives in and around the Bay of La Ciotat has allowed me to observe the marine eco system and to watch the evolution of the different species.
This vast experience of the fish population in the area has contributed to the methods used in my activity without ceasing to improve the quality of capturing and storing of the different specimens without causing any harm to the fish.”
The creation of new equipment and the study of the different methods of decompression of the different species, which live at various depths and the delicate methods of capture do not allow room for error.
The different seasons, weather patterns and also the hours of capture have considerable impact on the results in spite of the progress I have made. I have the impression that I have still so much to learning.

· Storing

12000 litres for 14 volumes of seawater in a closed circuit permits the storage of different specimens in order of compatibility.
For the larger quantities these being live shoals of fish the fabrication of special cages is necessary and practical especially during the summer period when the natural environment is best. Large tanks with open circuits close to the boat allows for the reception and loading of the species. The site is situated in the Shipyard of La Ciotat.
